Welcome to COST297 -
Autumn 2008 Meeting
We are looking forward to the Autumn 2008 meeting which
will take place
in Friedrichshafen, Germany on
8-10 October. It will comprise a public Workshop, in conjunction with
the 7th International Airship Convention
and all are welcome to participate in the Workshop sessions. An overview can be
found here, and the Programme for the HAPCOS sessions can be found here.
Registration and administration for this event are handled
by the Airship Convention, not by COST297 directly.

Spring 2008 Meeting
HAPCOS recently held a very successful meeting in Nicosia, 7-9 April 2008. This comprised Working
Group sessions together with the 6th Management Committee meeting. A
large number of technical papers were presented, together with
detailed discussions in the areas of HAPs, wireless communications, and
optical communications. A joint session was also held with
COST IC603 'ASSIST'.
Thanks are due to the European University of Cyprus and to Kostas
Katzis for the excellent organisation and hospitality. The MC Minutes
are available from the
private area.
Other upcoming events
Details and links to some other upcoming conferences and events can be found on
our Events page.
Use of the website
We hope these web pages will be a valuable resource for everyone concerned with HAPs and their applications. We welcome input for the web pages, comments and feedback.
We aim to make available published articles and material relating to HAPs and their applications. These can be found by clicking on the ‘publications’ link at the top of the page.
For members of the COST297 Management Ctte and recognised associates, we also use the ‘private’ area, reached via the link at the top right hand side of this page. This will provide communication, information and document handling. This area requires a username and password which may be obtained from the Chair [tct@ohm.york.ac.uk]
